Deana has been living in Washington State since 2009. Her journey with Kamukamu Learning Foundation began recently after becoming familiar with the work they are doing to empower children and their communities in Uganda from Kamukamu’s founder, Stephen Ssemaala. Seeing the positive impact Kamukamu Learning Foundation has on children’s futures inspired her to get involved. Deana has been a WA Combined Fund Drive Coordinator since 2017 and enjoys coordinating community outreach, supporting local charities and planning fundraising events.  Deana lives in Chehalis with her husband Nick and works for the Department of Social and Health Services. Their two grown daughters also live in WA. Outside of Kamukamu, Deana enjoys running a small, freeze-dried candy business where she channels her creativity and love of spreading positive energy.
